Good Birthday weekend- GREAT homecoming!!!

Not only did Bob encourage me to go to Tunica for the weekend while he stayed home with the baby, but he had the sweetest thing ever ready when I got home... Just wait there are some pictures....

But first... On my way to Tunica- already missing my babies...

The absolute best find ever- new bedding from pottery barn; I'm gonna let you guess on the price for the rest of the post and I'll tell you at the end....
I had a blast, drank too much wine, laughed alot, gambled a little bit, Great food, lots of shopping, room service; enough said.
But then I came home to this and it was priceless.....

Oh one more thing- The trim/crown molding is all finished on the house and it looks AMAZING I will post pictures this week- we are so close to being FINISHED.. So I have a butt load of work to do but thats what nap time is for right....

Its been a heck of a day- Can I go to sleep now??

I want to start this on a good note before I begin all my bellyaching... Which I am sure you are all anxiously waiting to hear- Oh no need to lie, I know you are.

I got a haircut today!! So excited about that, I like it alot!!! Got a babysitter for the kiddo & went to the hair salon- Yep, that's pamper me city for a momma. I told Bob he better watch out I might not come back...haha... Yeah right huh- like I could leave those two...

Can I just say that teething might be the death of me.... My sweet, laid back, never ever cry baby girl is on vacation, and I MISS her.... I know she doesnt feel good, poor baby. She has 3 teeth coming in at once and I know thats rough. Her little teeth are so cute though...

So moving on, we decided (Ok I decided and Bob, being the ever gracious husband that he is, agreed) that we should go to the Sebastian County Fair here in the G-town, sounds like fun to me- Let Madelyn see the animals, ride some rides, eat some fat filled fair food that is fried of course- yummy... So in theory a great time right- yeah in theory it was. In reality: it was a little steamy outside, I felt the sweat beads forming before I had Madelyn's hairbow on & her in the stroller. First we walked through the barns and looked at the animals that smelled ever so lovely. Madelyn was slightly horrified if they looked in her direction, But honestly I think that they were too hot & tired to even notice we were there. Not to say that they werent cute though because they actually were.
Then we moved on & I saw Pony Rides, Oh cute little ponies, All girls love ponies! I think I had a brain toot; I mean just because she is scared of the other animals doesnt mean she wont love riding a pony. Yeah I know, I know; so we mosy on over & Pay our $5- (yes, I said $5). We (and by we I mean me again) decided that I would walk with her and Bob would take the pictures- So I pick the cute little white pony- get Madelyn on there and we get this face which I am pretty sure means- get me the hell off this thing!!!!
Well then the ponies take off walking, (and normally I would never post such a horrible picture of myself, but I wanted you to have a visual) - and the next thing I know I am pratically having to run to keep up- I am thinking why are these ponies going so fast- whats the rush. I really wanted to glare in the worker guys direction or something but I had to concentrate, there was no time. I was sweating like crazy after our 30 second ride.
In the picture below you can defantly tell that I am tired, and glad this workout is over. I feel like I paid $5 to run in a circle while Madelyn looked at me like I had 4 heads. Well she actually warmed up after she got over the initial shock. At least I think she did- I couldnt spare that extra second to look at her face, lest I get trampled by the ambitious pony behind us- that had no rider mind you- Needless to say but next time Bob is walking & I am taking the damn pictures!

And as if all that isnt enough drama for the day; (and I wonder where Madelyn gets her flair for the dramatic..hehe) We have SCORPIANS!!! Scary huh, we killed 3 just today. I hate them- and I want them out of our house... We're considering trying to use nuclear bombs against them at this point. Whatever works, ya know. Any other suggestions??

Also Happy Birthday to Papa- your the best Grandpa & Dad in the world- We Love You!!!!

11 Months Sure does fly by....

Yesterday Madelyn was 11 months old, I cannot believe it. Time just goes by so fast- she is growing up on me. Becoming her own little person with her own preferences.

So I realized last night that I have been staying home for a year... Thats crazy, it doesnt seem that long, & I still love it!!!


But lets be honest with a baby this cute- who wouldnt want to spend their days home with her?
This was her 3rd bath yesterday- But the good news is she loves to take a bath.
So a day late... But Happy 11 months Madelyn!!! I love you more than life.

All I need to say is that Madelyn thoroughly enjoyed her dinner last night...



She wanted to make sure she had some on her head just incase- those hairs were looking more blonde than red...
Not quite sure how I caught her in this pose but it is hilarious- Maybe she doesnt want her face cleaned off- oh who am I kiddding- she had to have a bath!!!
But isnt she too cute!!

Can we do this every weekend? Please...

What a fourth of July weekend... We had such a good time; we started on Friday at a cookout. Lots of yummy food- can I say the best coconut cream pie ever!!! I ate too much for sure- well lets just say I ate too much the entire weekend...

Also, thanks to Grammy & Papa for Madelyn's adorable 4th of July dress... She looks so cute- (but can I just say that she is so hard to get a good picture of right now- I have a million pictures of the top of her head as she crawls off...lol...) But I caught her just in time...

She looked so adorable in that bonnet- and she is loving that babydoll...

Ok, fastforward to about 7am Saturday morning- I drag the family out of bed, (ok just Bob, Madelyn was already awake) & we take off for the lake... It is always lots of fun... I was so excited Madelyn liked the water this time, which was nice because she didn't have to sit in the boat and sweat... The water felt GREAT!!!! Here we are, her first enjoyable swim in the lake....

So besides the sunburn I got, (which is almost all tan by now thank goodness) it was a wonderful weekend... Good quality time with family & friends... Bob loved all of his time with Madelyn. I am so glad we went... Gosh I love summertime!!!!!!! Oh & I love homemade ice cream!!!
